MADRID (Reuters) - Four explosions struck near a power station in Spain's northern Basque country on Tuesday after a warning call in the name of Basque separatist guerrillas ETA, police said.
State radio said there were no injuries.

A caller to a Basque newspaper had warned earlier that four bombs would explode near the power station at Amorebieta, police said.

ETA May Be Behind Four Bombs in Spain
MADRID, Spain — Four bombs exploded Tuesday near a power plant in the Basque region after a warning call from the separatist group ETA, but there were no casualties, news reports said.

The blasts occurred in the town of Amorebieta in Vizcaya province, Spanish National Radio said.

ETA called a Basque newspaper and warned that four bombs would go off at the power plant, the news agency Efe said.

Workers at the plant were evacuated before the explosions, Efe said, quoting witnesses as saying the blasts were small.

7. ETA responsible? You won;t be hearing any "we are fighting
them there so we won't have to fight them here" from Bush and Blair. Homegrown strife doesn't play the way Al Qaeda does.

8. Just watch the spin from the WH on this one...
Spain is on their shit list ever since they pulled out of Iraq, it will be interesting to see how moron* chides Spain.

Interestingly enough, the Basque separatists always call before the explosions so people can evacuate. They only want to destroy property, not people.

11. Pretty typical of western homegrown terrorists
Warn the target so there are no fatalities because fatalities only damage support. That sounds a lot like some of the militant left radicals of the late 60's who would bomb the occasional office at 4 A.M. to make a statement, not kill people.

I would put this type of terrorism and the "other" kind in different categories.
