Bush Solicits Supreme Court Advice |
|
link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,1280,-5136684,00.html"> http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,1280,-5136684,00.html"WASHINGTON (AP) - Aiming to demonstrate an openness to all views, President Bush sought the advice of Democratic as well as Republican senators on Tuesday about whom to pick to fill a Supreme Court vacancy. He also got a little unsolicited advice from his wife." Could this possibly be a turning point? Is he really starting to try and select a nominee acceptable to everyone? Dare i hope?

SOB is going to start reaching out to the Dems now that he knows his ass is one congressional hearing away from wearing federal prison stripes.

You're probably right about that...and once he does one token thing to please Dems, it'll be back to bullshit-as-usual

6. I think you are still naive about these people... |
|
I can't imagine that he would do anything even a token thing to please Democrats. No. I think this is a smoke screen to distract from the announcement that he nominates Ashcroft or Gonzales. He's not asking anyone's advice or opinion. And actually, everything he says is usually to cover up the exact opposite.
So, to translate: "Bush is going to appoint a nominee so outrageous that he is pretending that the Supreme Court actually advised him to do it"

7. Ashcroft of Olson, certainly. |
|
As long as Bush continues his pattern of patronage, those two would be on the short list.

11. True...appearances only |
|
No names submitted by Chimpy.
Per Bush he asked the Senators about the "timing" and "the calendar" and "they get to decide....they get to determine how fast a nominee" (moves in the process) but no names tossed around. He sez he's "going to be deliberate" and I'm going to vomit. Lying sacks of shit have NO intention of taking ANY input. Assholes.

9. Obviously, you still have much to learn about these people |
|
Haven't you learned anything from the past election? These fuckers are willing to use any issue, no matter how tragic, in order to exploit it for pure political gain. Just look at Homeland Security, 9/11, and even Terri Schiavo. That's how they were able to defeat such real patriots like Max Cleland and John Kerry.
It's time to wise up. These assholes will not hesitate for one second to pull a bait and switch and in effect, ruin this country for craven political gain.

10. Not to mention the London terrorist attacks... |

And don't get me wrong, i never said that i'm beginning to TRUST this idiot or anything like that, i merely expressed a (sarcastic) sentiment that MAYBE, just MAYBE he was beginning to start thinking...of course, i dont have any real belief that that will ever happen
