Bush's Visit To Black Expo Raises Questions

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Governor Daniels dismisses the idea that President Bush may be speaking at the Indiana Black Expo's Summer Celebration this week to deflect criticism for not speaking at the NAACP's national convention for the last five years.

Daniels says the visit "marks the emergence of Black Expo as a truly national event."

Daniels says President Bush's visit to Indianapolis this week is more than just a courtesy call.

....

Bush has turned down five invitations to attend NAACP gatherings, including this week's meeting in Milwaukee.

Daniels was Bush's budget director before running for governor of Indiana.

8. Bush will be given Black Expo’s Lifetime Achievement award.
Since he has done so much for Black Americans, especially in the Education Department. :sarcasm:

"...Bush will be the first president to address Indiana Black Expo. Rogers said Bush will be given Black Expo’s Lifetime Achievement award.

“I think it’s very deserved,” Rogers said, when asked why Bush should receive such an award. “He has been president not just for one term, but two terms.”

The White House said Bush will speak in part on education, and Gov. Mitch Daniels, a former budget director for Bush who helped secure his visit, noted that Bush’s first bill as president was the education reforms included in “No Child Left Behind” legislation..."

Too Too Little, too, too, late.

He already has TOM on there already.

I suppose he thinks that we African Americans like that --- ha!

TOM doesn't even know that he is Black.
