I hope Abbas has success. He has his work cut out for him! As for Hamas retaining the right to "resistance and self defence," that is like the Klan saying the same thing. Both are terrorist organizations. I just hope the PA can battle these loons back until the no longer are a group with any power.

3. My honest opinion?

I don't think Hamas gives a shit! They are nothing more than a hate group with a mission statement to destroy all of Israel. They don't care they bring shame to millions of people who share their faith, anymore than the religious right in this country cares that that the do the same when the murder doctors and abortion clinics. Hamas promotes bigotry and hate, nothing more. If they cared so much about the Palestinian people, why then, weeks before disengagement from Gaza, are they bombing their own people and Israel? They are a hate group, and should be treated as such.
