1. There's nothing there
that can't be repealed when we get congress back in 06

2. Sounds like it still has to clear the Senate, though ...
Hopefully we'll have more luck stopping (or amending) it there.

5. Oh don't worry
Lieberman will do his level best to make sure that * gets what he wants in the senate.

3. Or, at least until 2007
when the majority Dems will restore Constitutional protections.

6. I heard there were even some Rethugs who voted against it
Like (gulp) Dana Rohrabacher (CA) ... Even if Joe-mentum and other moderates on our side vote for this in the Senate, there's a chance there are similar moderate Repugs who will vote against it. And as has been noted, when we take back Congress in '06, we can repeal it (or scale it back).

7. Let the Republican Party explain it to the voters in 2006
Yeah, way too many Democrats voted for it...but I believe that almost all Republicans did. They've got the majority, they set the agenda.

8. Lock
Not LBN. More that 12 hours old. A search will find the thread about the vote.
Additionally, the subject line doesn't match the article title.
