Rice Heads to Ramallah to Meet With Abbas
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=969908

RAMALLAH, West Bank Jul 23, 2005 — Encouraged by recent attempts to crack down on militants, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Saturday headed to this West Bank city to press the Palestinians to take further steps to rein in the violent groups.

Rice came to the region in a hastily arranged trip to attempt a rescue of the unraveling Mideast truce, determined that Israel's mid-August withdrawal from the Gaza Strip go ahead as planned in spite of escalating violence.

Rice was to meet Saturday with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia and Interior Minister Nasser Yousef, who is responsible for the Palestinian security forces, amid signs the Palestinians were bending to heavy Israeli and U.S. pressure to clamp down on groups like Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.

5. Rice praises Abbas' efforts to clamp down on militants
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/603554.html

<snip>

"Speaking in Ramallah on Saturday, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice praised Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' efforts to clamp down on militants. However, Rice said that there was still more work to be done by the Palestinian leadership.

Rice's visit to Ramallah was part of a last-minute tour in the region that came about after a recent escalation in the fragile lull between Israel and Palestinians only several weeks before the start of the disengagement plan.

Rice said that after the withdrawal from Gaza Strip, the United States wanted to make sure that the territory was not kept sealed and had access to the West Bank."

<snip>

"Rice waved as she arrived at the Muqata compound in Ramallah, headquarters of the Palestinian leadership.

On the way from nearby Jerusalem, Rice's motorcade slowed to allow her to view Israel's construction of the West Bank separation fence."

6. Can they keep her we don't want her over here

She is always telling people how they should behave.

She needs to stop killing people and take a look at the mirror.
The nerve of her and the other criminals.
