Gonzales testified (before Grand Jury) in leak investigation
http://www.sciencedaily.com/upi/?feed=TopNews&article=UPI-1-20050724-09193800-bc-us-leak-gonzales.xml

SCOTT VALLEY, Calif., July 24 (UPI) -- Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said he had been called last year to testify before a grand jury investigating the leak of a CIA official's identity.

But Gonzales said on Fox News Sunday he knew nothing about the case.

"I did testify before the grand jury," Gonzales said. "I have no information on Ms. Plame and her role in the CIA." The attorney general said his first knowledge of the controversy came from following reports in the media.

This appears to be new info: Gonzales did testify to the Grand Jury - perhaps that is why he said that he gave the heads up to Andrew Card this morning - wanted to avoid that jail sentence for perjury.
