Exploiting the confirmation hearings for political gain? I think that might be a bit risky, but good plan nevertheless, we shouldn't just roll over for him

2. Pretty good idea. The media won't ignore that

Every other time a Dem opens his or her mouth the media turns off the microphones and returns to the studios for a feel-good story about Bush and the Republicans. If the Dems fight the Roberts nomination, the media might have to cover it. Show the nation how extreme Roberts and Bush are, and it might earn some mileage.

Must be Reid's doing. I'm starting to like him.
