Justice: FBI Translation Backlog Grows
WASHINGTON -- The FBI's backlog of untranslated audio recordings from terrorism and espionage investigations grew markedly in the past year, the Justice Department's internal watchdog said Wednesday.

The FBI is capturing and reviewing more conversations than ever in languages associated with terrorists, Inspector General Glenn A. Fine said in a report.

"The FBI's collection of audio material continues to outpace its ability to review and translate all that material," Fine said. His findings were similar in a July 2004 audit, except that he said the FBI now does a better job prioritizing its translation work.

Fine released his report at an FBI oversight hearing by the Senate Judiciary Committee.

There were 707,742 hours of unreviewed recordings at the end of March, a 50 percent increase over the start of 2004, Fine said. The bureau no longer is running behind on intercepts relating to al-Qaida cases.

3. Since the FBI is only allowed to hire Bu*h republican party loyalists,
they can't find competent translators that are acceptable to the party.

In general, the republican/conservative brain lacks the complex creative and logical intellectual capacity for translating languages, as well as other functions critical to the defense of the nation.

Because Bu*h has adopted a policy of hiring only ultraconservative extreme hard right wingers that are loyal to him (and not the US) for all federal government service, our government will eventually cease functioning on all levels due to an overload of corruption and stupidity.

Seriously, this is inevitable.

I'm afraid that this is more than stupidity, but it is corruption true.

Looking at all these whistleblowers and their claims, and the fact that they haven't sued for libel makes me think Bush and his neocon croanies willingly leave an open door for threats.

But is/seems stupid, true. But his handlers are sick, not stupid.
