Car Bomb Kills Five People in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A car bomb exploded Saturday near the National
Theater in Baghdad, killing five people, including three policemen,
police and witnesses said.

The afternoon blast also injured nine, including a mother and her two
young children, and damaged several cars. The children did not appear
to be seriously hurt.

Police Maj. Abbas Mohammed Salman said three policemen also were
injured. The bomb appeared to have been meant for police.
