News Advisory:

WHAT: One folder of records from Record Group 60: Department of Justice, Files of the Attorney General, titled "John G. Roberts, Jr. MISC" has been processed for release. These records relate to Roberts' tenure as Special Assistant to the Attorney General in 1981-82. The file comprises approximately 350 pages and consists of memorandums and other materials sent from John Roberts to the Attorney General's office and related materials. Many of the documents found in the file are originals of the records that were released last week by the National Archives.

This release is part of an ongoing process to review and make available materials found in the holdings of the National Archives that relate to Judge John Roberts.

WHERE: The records will be available on the Internet at: http://www.archives.nara.gov/news/john-roberts/ . The originals will be open for research at the National Archives College Park Facility, located at 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, Md.

WHEN: The records will be open to the public at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
