Detroit mayor Kilpatrick to face Freman Hendrix in November
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 10:15 PM by ih8thegop
In a Local 4/Mitchel Research Exit Poll, challenger Freman Hendrix is the big winner with 46 percent of the vote. Local 4's exit poll showed incumbent Kwame Kilpatrick with 30 percent of the vote.

Hendrix and Kilpatrick were the top vote-getters in early returns in Tuesday's mayoral primary that determines which two candidates square off in November's general election. Hendrix had a big early lead over Kilpatrick and the other 10 candidates.

The top two vote-getters in the nonpartisan primary square off Nov. 8, and the winner will be asked to lead a city with a multimillion-dollar budget deficit and a severe population decline.

<snip>

Crime is down, and the city is proud of itself for winning major sports events like the 2006 Super Bowl and last month's baseball All-Star game.

6. All are dems, but Hendrix is a product
of Oakland county bootlicker politics. :puke:

Kilpatrick stinks of McNamara.

I liked McPhail, but she never had a chance.
