Joseph Duncan Linked To California Murder

RIVERSIDE, CALIF. - The man accused of kidnapping an Idaho girl and killing four of her family members may be connected to the 1997 murder of a Riverside, California boy.

Joseph Duncan is already charged with killing a woman, her boyfriend, and two of her kids.

A third child, Shasta Groene was found with Duncan in a restaurant near Cour D'Alene, Idaho.

Now, police are looking into whether Duncan kidnapped a boy from his front lawn eight years ago.

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles TV station is reporting that Joseph Edward Duncan III, who is charged in a triple homicide and the kidnappings of Shasta and Dylan Groene be implicated in the abduction and murder of a southern California boy eight years ago.

A Los Angeles TV station is reporting that Joseph Duncan may be responsible for the murder of a 10-year-old California boy in 1997.

Sources tell NBC4 News that Duncan may be responsible for the kidnapping and murder of Anthony Martinez in 1997.

Martinez was 10-years-old at the time of his abduction from his home in Beaumont on April 4, 1997. That’s in an area southeast of San Bernadino.


A missing child Web site says Martinez was playing with friends in the yard of his home when a man approached and tried to lure the children with a story about a lost cat.

You'll remember these faces. The suspect allegedly killed the little brother, after molesting both of the children over days, having taking them from their home where he had murdered their other brother, mother, and her boyfriend.

He had been traveling with the little girl when he was spotted and apprehended.

Wow, that little boy, Anthony Martinez, was abducted only a few miles from my home! Everyone has been wondering for years who killed him and worried because whoever did it was still running free.
