Bush dismisses al-Qaeda warning
5 August, 2005

US President George W Bush has brushed aside demands from Osama Bin Laden's deputy that the US leave Iraq, saying the US would "complete the job" there.

Ayman al-Zawahri warned that there would be further violence unless the US and its allies withdrew from Iraq.

His comments were made in a videotape broadcast on the Arab satellite television network al-Jazeera.

Mr Bush dismissed Zawahri's ideology as "dark, dim and backwards" and said Iraqis wanted to live in freedom.

5. here comes the MIHOP
This is so badly staged it's ridiculous. The Emmanuel Goldstein act is really eerie, too.

They're trying to smear liberals as al Qaeda sympathizers by scripting typical liberal critiques of his agenda for al-Zawahiri to say.

12. Just In Time
Delivery. Just when questions about the name of the war and sand castles tumbling all around, guess what. The enemy rears its ugly head to get things back on tract.
Any question anymore about what al-Qaeda needs and how they are able to continue than this. Just think back before the 2004 election. They had another release at that time.

I want this guy hanged in public. He is murdering people for nothing. Iraq is going to devolve into civil war because this punk couldn't pass PoliSci 101 and had to get credit for cheerleading to graduate. This is the worst possible president, and I include Coolidge and Grant in that group. He is the worst ever, by a long shot.

25. This is nuts:
Even so, Bush faces a real dilemma, said Cordesman, now with the Center for Strategic and International Studies. "The president's legacy, if he fails in Iraq, historically is an absolute disaster. President Bush and the Bush administration can scarcely ignore that problem."

"If you pull out troops too quickly now, and you see the situation in Iraq collapse before the midterm elections, the impact is going to be far more serious than if you keep the troops in at reasonable levels," Cordesman said.

So what he's saying is that's why troops are being "sacrificed" ??? The Congressional elections?? Tell it to their families & friends!!

It's so crazy! It seems to be true... Not surprised.

My nephew showed me a news story dating back to April 2004 in which the US government announced they had captured al-Zawahri, and now we have an announcement from him. Am I missing something here?

that was filmed at Gitmo.
Al-Zawahhri got a couple extra cookies with his lemon chicken and a shower for appearing in that film.
It was either that or eat bacon for a month.
