OK - now here is a guy who admits to selling nuclear components. And he gets three - count em - three years?????!!!!?????? And we have people who are imprisoned without charges indefinately - because they MIGHT be terrorists???????

Back to our original question: "What is a Nuclear Detonation Device?"

Answer: Two parts:
(1). It is the Inductor-Capacitor-Resistor part of the Laser Read/Write head in your DVD/CD read/write device if and only if it can be separated from the laser without destroying the circuit.

(2). But, if the Inductor-Capacitor-Resistor part of the Laser Read/Write head in your DVD/CD if it can not be separated from the laser without destroying the circuit then it is not a detonator.

Litmus test- can you separate the Inductor-Capacitor-Resistor part of the Laser Read/Write head in your DVD/CD read/write device from the actual Laser without destroying the LRC circuit?

(1). No - it will destroy the circuit -- not a detonator.
(2). Yes - Then it is a detonator

Scary part - at one time - you could buy the read write head as two separate and distinct components on two separate and distinct pieces of Silicon - (i) the inductor-capacitor-resistor circuit (i.e., a detonator), and (ii) the laser. DOD and DOE had a fit hemorrhage about that.
