Poll shows most Americans feel more vulnerable
An unprecedented 57% majority say the war has made the USA more vulnerable to terrorism. A new low, 34%, say it has made the country safer. The question is critical because the Bush administration has long argued that the invasion of Iraq was undertaken to make the USA safer from terrorism.

1. Unfortunately, fear motivates conservative sentiments
This might not be good for Bush, but it may not be bad for conservatives in general.

This proves the "fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here" BS isn't cutting it. As if it ever made any sense at all.

Most Americans can clearly see that if they can hit the UK, if they're now even more willing and better trained to do so (not to mention more numerous)... then they can hit here, again, too.

4. It's increased our role and stake in an unstable region.
It's just not worth it.

5. Bush increased the instability in the world in so many ways!
