Radioactive waste group defends work (UK / terrorism concerns)

LONDON, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- The chairman of Britain's Committee on Radioactive Waste Management Tuesday denied any suggestion that his group is ignoring issues of security. <snip>

The allegations reportedly came from two senior scientists in Scotland, who said the likelihood of a terror attack on stockpiles of nuclear waste is being ignored by the radio waste group.

One of the scientists has resigned in protest from the CORWM, accusing it of endangering public safety around storage facilities by ignoring scientific expertise, according to The Herald. <snip>
