SF Mayor Condemns Iran Killing Teenager; 50 at Protest

Michael Petrelis (center in photo), the internationally known Human Rights and AIDS activist, organized a protest in San Francisco to condemn the execution of two teenage boys in Iran and to call attention to human rights violations against gays and lesbians.

On his site, Mr. Petrelis issued a call for a demonstration and press conference in New York on the eve of the Iranian President’s appearance at the United Nations next month:

I am asking for community discussion about confronting Iran's president in September when he comes to New York to address the U.N.'s General Assembly.
