" Prime Minister backs beleaguered Met chief"
Tony Blair and John Prescott gave their full backing to Sir Ian Blair as the pressure built on the embattled Metropolitan Police Commissioner over the shooting of a Brazilian electrician.

Not particularly surprising but I'm not posting the article for the headline. Check out the closing paragraphs.

Meanwhile, it was claimed yesterday that CCTV tapes depicting Mr de Menezes' last moments were handed out to police but returned blank.

Tube Lines, the company which runs Stockwell station, said it had not been aware of any faults on its cameras on 22 July.

The Mail on Sunday quoted a senior transport union official as saying: "After the incident, the police took the tapes away. When they brought them back three or four days later, they said, 'These are no good to us. They're blank.'"

WTF? That can't be right can it?

1. The entire CCTV tapes thing is very, very suspicious.
As for T Blair, I'm pleased he has implicated himself with I Blair. I Blair's fall will damage T Blair as well, with any luck.

But then he informed on some of his colleagues.
