Venezuela Navy Seizes Massive Drug Shipment in Joint Operation
Venezuela Navy Seizes Massive Drug Shipment in Joint Operation

Monday, Aug 22, 2005

Aug 22, 2005 (VenezuelAnalysis.com).- Authorities from Venezuela and French Guiana seized 3.3 U.S. tons of cocaine aboard a Venezuelan-flagged fishing boat 400 miles east of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean sea, according to the Associated Press.

The Venezuelan Navy worked in cooperation with the French Guiana Navy, resulting in the detention of nine crew members, including eight Venezuelans and one Peruvian.

<>

However, a highly publicized dispute has erupted recently between the governments of Venezuela and the United States about their efforts to control drug trafficking in Venezuela. President Chavez accused U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officials operating in Venezuela, of spying and of over-stepping their authority. U.S. officials rejected the accusations, charging instead that Venezuela was not cooperating well with DEA agents.

Last Monday, Venezuelan Vice-President José Vicente Rangel said that his country would no longer give diplomatic immunity to DEA agents in Venezuela, and that it might deny visas to U.S. citizens. According to the Vice-President, this decision is in reaction to a move by the U.S. government to revoke visas of six Venezuelan National Guard members who were in charge of combating drug trafficking.

The IMF estimated global money laundering to be between 590 billion and 1.5 trillion dollars a year, representing 2-5 percent of global GDP. (Asian Banker, 15 August 2003). A large share of global money laundering as estimated by the IMF is linked to the trade in narcotics.

2. Yes
Narcotics is an integral component of financing the operations of the various acronym agencies and when this revenue is cut out it dampens the activities of the CIA etc. They rely on this cash like the landlord relies on the rent.

Think Afghanistan. The reinvigorated opium trade is not a 'failure' of US policy, quite the contrary, it is the intention.
This is also a reason Haiti, as a major transhipment point, is so important to the thugs in the White House.

6. hmmmmm - that makes an awful lot of sense . . .
.
.
.

Especially considering this from the article:

"According to the Venezuelan government, drug seizures in Venezuela have increased significantly during the current administration of President Hugo Chavez, and surpass those of previous governments."

Hugo does better curtailing the drug business, and the United States wants him out of power

hmmmmmm

"The liberation of Iraq has opened the borders of that country to a new and flourishing drug trade that health officials in Iraq are woefully unprepared to address."

"Binladen has no particular love for the US, but there still is no real evidence linking Binladen to the September 11th terrorist act. Bin Laden did commit one mortal sin. He curtailed the cultivation of poppies and the production of opium in Afghanistan. Before the Taliban, Afghanistan produced 40 percent of the world's opium. Now with the removal of the Taliban, opium production is again beginning to flourish in Afghanistan. There is more money in the international drug trade then there is in oil. Why Afghanistan? They seem to have been in the way of the two biggest financial stakes of the planet, oil and drugs."

32. I can't answer that but I can give you an additional bit of information
Edited on Tue Aug-23-05 01:18 PM by Burried News
from the book Lords of the (Pacific) Rim by Sterling (Sperling?)

The Chinese Triads move many more times the amount of drugs and cash than the Medellin and Cali drug Cartels combined. It is a very old trade going back to the 1700's -think Boxer Rebellion in China, Terry and the Pirates cartoons from the 1950's.

Macao, Hong Kong and Taipai are major centers. The drug trade ties into smuggling, money laundering, pirating software and other copywrited products. I don't think anyone can answer your question. The Chinese Bankers have had Rothschild methods of secrecy for centuries. Many key players have citizenship in many countries.

Clavell's Taipan is a good read. Google Hutchinson Wampoa which is in that book and google Madame Chiang Kai Shek. She, believe it or not links RIGHT to .......... fundamentalist christians in the US.

Did they hate Clinton because he tapped into their China stash?

And the Ecstasy assists with the pieceful resolution of the West Bunk problem.

Able Danger Intel Exposed "Protected" Heroin Trafficking

August 17, 2005
Venice, FL.
by Daniel Hopsicker

Mohamed Atta was protected from official scrutiny as part of an officially-protected cocaine and heroin trafficking network with ties to top political figures, including Republican officials Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris, and it was this fact—and not the “terrible lapses” of “weak on terror” Clinton Administration officials cited by Republican Congressman Curt Weldon—which shielded him from being apprehended before the 9.11 attack.

Weldon alleges that Pentagon lawyers rejected the military intelligence unit’s recommendation to apprehend Atta because he was in the country legally, and therefore information on him could not be shared with law enforcement.

But the “terrible lapses” cited by Weldon do not stem from the nonsensical assertion that Atta had a green card (he did not) which rendered him immune from military investigation but were the result of an officially-protected heroin trafficking operation being conducted on planes like those of Wally Hilliard, whose Lear jet flew "milk runs" down and back to Venezuela every week for 39 weeks in a row before finally running afoul of local DEA agents not been clued-in on the 'joke.'

Mr. Hopsicker connects the findings of Able Danger and their inability to get word out to the allegations of Sibel Edmonds. Very interesting reading, I'd say.

37. Not to mention former Wall Street Journal reporter, Jonathan Kwitny
As discussed in the thread Seemslikeadream posted a link to, connections between covert operations funding and drug money have been written about numerous times.

Kwitney in his book "The Crimes of Patriots" documents the connections between heroin trafficking in the "Golden Triangle", covert government ops and shadowy arms merchants in SE asia during the 60s & 70s. Many of the players mentioned (such as John Singlaub) took part in Iran-Contra which had links to cocaine trafficking.

Going back even further one finds the Opium Wars of the nineteenth century largely fought over control of the lucrative trade in that controlled commodity.

Someday it will be common knowledge that the high price, especially relative to their mass and volume, of controlled substances makes an extremely convenient medium for funding "off-the-books", black-ops.

16. To the tune of "Big John"
Every mornin' at the table
you could see it arrive:
It stood six bricks thick,
Twelve kilos high.
Kinda broad at the fire
An' narrow at the tip,
And everybody knew
It was fun to lip
BIG JOINT.

<chorus>
Big joint...
Big joint...
Big bad joint.

Somebody said it came
From New Orleans
Where it got in a fight
With a rollin' machine;
And a crashin' toke
From that huge white roach
Stoned a L'usiana fella
And a football coach.
BIG JOINT.

<chorus>
Big joint...
Big joint...
Big bad joint. :smoke:

:applause:

After he threw out the CIA (I think it was the CIA?), it turns out our feds decided to use DEA to spy on him. So now the DEA is out too. And anyone that looks like them. He's a very popular figure there, who is known for wanting to improve his nation and help his people. He isn't an evil dictator. And Robertson wants him killed.

And Venezuela has oil.
