Pope To Meet With Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari

Pope Benedict is scheduled to meet Thursday with Iraq's foreign minister at the pontiff's summer retreat on the hills south of Rome.

VATICAN CITY (AP) - Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari expected to meet reporters in the Italian capital later in the day. Tomorrow, he'll head to northern Italy for talks with his Italian counterpart.

Zebari's visit to Italy comes as Iraq's leaders are trying to hammer out a compromise with Sunni Arabs over the country's constitution. Over the past days, new violence has broken out in southern Iraqi cities between rival Shiite groups.
