No Charges for Pilot Who Flew Near Bush

A pilot flew his single-engine plane into restricted air space near President Bush's ranch in Crawford and was escorted back to the Houston area by fighter jets, officials said Thursday.

No criminal charges were expected to be filed against the pilot, whose name wasn't released. The pilot violated the 30-mile no-flying restriction Wednesday night, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman John Clabes.

"You should never fly over that area," he said.

10. 30 miles? Are they nuts! That's bigger than terminal areas in most

cities. That's 34 miles from the ranch in every direction (the 30 miles are nautical). What a coward. I bet he would like to close down Washington if he had a chance.
