Australia to share US secrets
Australia to share US secrets
By Greg Sheridan
September 01, 2005

"US President George W. Bush has issued a decree upgrading Australia to the highest rank of intelligence partner that the US has in the world.

Australia's new status is equaled only by Britain and vastly expands the quantity and quality of US intelligence our agencies receive.
In order to bring this about, Mr Bush has changed US national disclosure policy.

In the 50 years of the US-Australia alliance, Australia has never before enjoyed this level of access to American intelligence. The agreement ranges from tactical and operational military information through to comprehensive national assessments."

2. What good did this "intelligence" do for Britain?
I mean it didn't stop them getting involved in a war crime, and it didn't stop them being the target of a terrorist attack. In fact I would like someone to name ONE THING this "special relationship" has done to benefit the UK.

So Oz is gonna get the same benefits? Hell, they already got involved in that same illegal war, and were the victims of a terrorist attack, so what is gonna change?
