Treasury Department sends members of police force to New Orleans
WASHINGTON More officers from the nation's capital are headed to New Orleans to help protect federal buildings.

About 30 officers from the U-S Mint Police are off to New Orleans to provide security for the Federal Reserve Bank there.

The group left around early this morning from the Treasury Department in D-C. Inspector Lou Cannon says they're prepared to help the entire community. They're even taking a mobile kitchen along with them.

The D-C Fraternal Order of Police collected supplies for the officers. The shipping company U-P-S donated a tractor trailer to carry the kitchen.

1. Hmmmm. If there is theft of plates or whatever at the Mint...
I'd look no further than Rove's office or Unka Dick's place.
