India to Join Search for Petroleum off Cuba's Coast
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGBPMJHWADE.html

HAVANA (AP) - India's oil company will join efforts to search and drill for petroleum in the largely unexplored Gulf of Mexico waters off Cuba's coast, a senior government official said Tuesday.

The Cuban government chose bids by India for two new blocks offered for exploration, Foreign Minister Rao Inderjit Singh told reporters as he wrapped up a two-day official visit here.

"We are also negotiating an agreement with Repsol," he said, referring to the Spanish petrochemicals firm Repsol YPF, which is already exploring and drilling for oil in the waters off the communist-run island. He did not provide details.

Canadian company Sherritt also is exploring off the island's coast.

1. Well, I guess more oil exploration can't hurt the Gulf coast now
Makes you go hmm.

3. I hope they're all on the level with Cuba. It would be too rotten
if somehow American companies are working through front organizations.

Brazil has also been involved very recently. Hope the Cubans are paying extremely close attention and checking everything twice.

This could be so big for them if it pays off. They could tell Bush to stick his embargo "where the sun don't shine."

4. Cuba is always referred to as a "communist-run island" while Chavez
is referred to as a "strongman." The same MSM that uses those labels on Cuba and Chavez, which are highly inaccurate BTW, is the same MSM that is unable to hold Bush accountable for his incompetence on the Katrina disaster and his criminal war in Iraq.

We are the country in which the candidate with the most votes does not necessarily wins!

5. If Chavez is a "strongman"
then Bush is a "weakman."
