Truckers slow traffic to protest high fuel prices.

GRAND FALLS, N.B. -- More than 500 tractor-trailers were parked along highways in northern New Brunswick as a truckers' protest over high gas prices continued Wednesday. <snip>

Eric Bijeau, spokesman for the protesters, estimated that as many as 1,000 trucks have been stopped in the northern New Brunswick blockade, a figure the police disputed.

He said he hopes the protest spreads to other provinces and into the United States.

"We are being screwed by the refineries,'' Bijeau said in an interview. <snip>

...proving the theory that letting black people die in the streets is good for the economy.

2. Interesting.. I just brought up to my husband yesterday that..

the one group of people that actually MIGHT be heard loud enough about the gas prices (here in the US) are the truckers.

If it actually works for the Canadian truckers we might just see that here if things don't change soon.
