Al-Zarqawi: Katrina an answer to prayers
Al Qaeda leader says God granted wish of Iraqis, Afghans

An Islamist Web site on Sunday posted a recording from al Qaeda's leader in Iraq saying Hurricane Katrina was an answer to the prayers of Iraqis and Afghans who have suffered under U.S. occupation.

The audio message thought to be from Abu Musab al-Zarqawi came on the fourth anniversary of al Qaeda's terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001.

The voice on the recording was verified to be al-Zarqawi by a CNN Arabic speaker familiar with many of his previous statements.

In the recording, al-Zarqawi said, "I believe the devastating hurricane that hit the United States occurred because people in Iraq or Afghanistan -- maybe a mother who had lost her son or a son whose parents were killed or a woman who was raped -- were praying for God and God accepted their prayers."

4. This is more Rove -
The Rovian message here is that the omni-present "al-Zarqawi" thinks the hurricane was good. Therefore, if you're upset with bush's incompetence, you support the terrorists.

This is getting quite tiresome. But I wouldn't be surprised if it works. It always seems to.

9. Since it's a crime to threaten *, is Al-Zarqawi praying for hurricanes
for the South instead of the death of our deal leader? He's afraid of getting arrested for plotting against the pres?

11. You know, that's a gauddamn real good question....
I think now maybe the tipoff on weather a "threat" is real or manufactured might be to look at who is being threatened.

Of course, with the exception of Revelations. But, we can't be living in those times yet because after all, true believers like Pat Robertson is still here.:sarcasm:

14. Rove's "al-Zarqawi" has so much to say! He just couldn't be shushed
according to the talking streak he caught this weekend. Oh, and on, and on, to the point of tedium.

You'd think a man who is hopping mad would look for max drama and tension, and share a few well-chosen words, heightened with a sense of mystery, (familiarity breeds contempt) and be done with it. He would have us shaking in our boots, if it even seemed slightly credible he exists in the first place. :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

Reminds me of the expression, "all talk and no action." I believe Rove's finest propagandists are short in common sense.

Remember this same administration has, at various times, claimed he had been killed, and had lost a leg, and had run away and avoided capture later on. Run away? AS a dead man? As a man with one leg?

Being dead, he probably has a lot of time on his hands to make these "scary" threats which arrive EXACTLY when Bush needs to shake things up because he's in trouble politically.

17. Praying for it after the fact should be a sin!
Let's see all the prayers posted. How many get answered? How many get ignored?

What's that creator to earthling prayer batting average?

And why didn't Allah magically steer Katrina toward the White (people's?)House?
