Karzai urges terror fight rethink
By Andrew North
BBC News, Kabul

Afghan President Hamid Karzai says the US and other international
forces need to reconsider their approach to bringing peace to
Afghanistan.

Violence largely blamed on the Taleban has claimed at least 1,000
lives this year - the worst toll since 2001.

He said there had to be a focus on "the sources of terrorism" where
extremists get their training and inspiration.

Many Afghans will interpret that as meaning neighbouring Pakistan,
from where militants often launch attacks.

5. They're being trained in Iraq, and THEN they go to Afghanistan
Karzai, you have to fight the terrorists abroad, so that you don't have to fight them at home. Get with the program...

7. At least Karzai is starting to rethink things
Maybe he'll finally figure out that the real source of terrorism isn't even in Pakistan but rather his buddies in the White House.

8. He is still only the Mayor of Kabul.
Afghans will never accept the Bush Regime puppet Govt. It will be many years before Afghanistan is a stable country. Maybe it will never be so.
