Hurricane Katrina death toll rises past 700


NEW ORLEANS, Sept 14 (Reuters) - The death toll from Hurricane Katrina climbed to 711 on Wednesday after Louisiana officials raised the number of confirmed fatalities in that state to 474.

8. last I heard, FEMA been forbidden searchers from entering homes . . .
they were just supposed to look through the windows to see whatever might be obvious . . . how does this help locate people/bodies on upper floors or in attics? . . . which is where most of them undoubtedly are located . . .
