14. why did it vanish? don' know. Did it actually happen?
All I've seen is the one website reference to a report by the "Iraqi News Agency, INA". I've googled around and can't find anything to suggest that INA is a credible or even real source. Maybe someone else can find something, but for the moment, I'm skeptical.

15. Maybe it didn't happen YET.
They'll probably release the story again, after it actually has happened.

Meanwhile in Kirkuk, saboteurs set ablaze a knot of pipelines north of the city, sending up huge plumes of fiery smoke, oil company sources said Thursday.

"The fire broke out in a juncture that links oil pipelines carrying crude from the wet oil treatment oilfields near Dibis region north of Kirkuk into the city oilfields," said Capt. Azad Omar of the Oil Protection Establishment Force.

Omar said the explosion caused by an improvised explosive device detonated by unknown insurgents was followed by fire in the valves complex.

He did not say if this would affect exports from the oilfields already hit by a series of bombings to pipelines...........
