WP: Smaller but Spirited Crowd Protests Antiwar March
More Than 200 Say They Represent Majority

On a day when they knew they would be outnumbered and out-shouted, more than 200 supporters of the Iraq war nonetheless gathered yesterday at the U.S. Navy Memorial to get out their message.

They were military families and members of such organizations as Move America Forward and RightMarch.com and Protest Warrior, and they were determined to be heard.

The crowd cheered when William Greene, president of RightMarch.com, called the antiwar protesters "the Sheehanistas." They cheered again when he said: "Our voices will not be silenced. We are the majority."

25. Let's extrapolate ...
The TV National News Media says much fewer anti-war protesters. Let's take the *supposed* leftist network known by the freepers as the Clinton News Network, CNN: CNN Headline news reported over 300,000 anti-war protesters, so using their FU logic, that means that we need to half the pro-war morans to 100 people.

The national USA Cable outlets splits the true number in half for the anti-war protest numbers, while it tends to double (or quadruple) our Dear Leader's "foaming at the mouth" koolaid drinking pro-war moran folk.

Therefore, reality would fall out much like this:

600,000 Anti-War Protesters

100 Pro-War Bat Shit Crazy Morans

May God Bless Reality ... those types of "in your face" undeniable truths that even the media propaganda outlets can't spin.

There's a REASON why there was no video to go along with this pathetic group of mean spirited people - the truth about their numbers and their sick-minded attitudes would be too TRUE to Realty. Such video could not be spun into a plus for the Executive Branch and the large corporations (G.E. etc.) that OWN the cable news networks.

:hi: :hippie:

2. "Smaller"...Like 500 to 1000 times smaller.

"More Than 200 Say They Represent Majority"

I say "back to 1st grade math for you".

200 = little number
100,000 = big number

200 < 100,000

she said, "just because the other side is antiwar. I am not pro-war. I don't think the president is pro-war. I don't think any of the soldiers fighting are pro-war. They have a mission, and they are going to do it."

-------

News flash, psycho... The mission that the US Military and Bushie are on is a WAR AGAINST IRAQ. So if you support the mission, you support the war.

Fucking idiots.

A'm a WAR president!

Perhaps these people don't really know what they stand for, or whom they're following. It makes one wonder why they're minds are so stubbornly made up. But then, if lemmings had brains...

30. I just feel bad (and frankly, STUNNED, to read about that woman
from Indiana - who has, what? Two sons in the military now and a third who's planning to enlist? Man - how many coffins is she willing to welcome back home when it's over? JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!! Those are her precious babies - and she's OKAY with seeing them feed themselves into that meat-grinder over there?

I will NEVER understand this. EVER. As a mother, or as an American. I am NOT willing to part with my son for the purposes of a war - EVER. Nor do I think she should be put in that position, either. That she's willing to do so - GAK!!!

34. Her idea fits in nicely....
... with the other chickenhawks who are perfectly willing to sacrifice lives for a war.... as long as it's not their own. Losing a son isn't like dieing yourself.

Her subconscious motivations must look like..."I can show how brave I am by suffering the loss of a son. He'll be dead - which is bad - but I can be the suffering mom of a dead hero - which increases my status."

Some fairly twisted shit.

37. Me neither. Never.
I would say in the post-World War II era, there have been precious few incidences where the U.S. military was deployed for anything other than protecting and furthering U.S. corporate interests. I'm not saying there haven't been a few justified responses. But the overwhelming majority of military actions have been pure evil -- Vietnam, Iraq, coups, etc.

She will find herself being comforted by Cindy Sheehan and that is the HUGE difference between those who abhor war and those who blindly follow a feckless leader into what has come to be the ruin of our country.

21. No real "war president' would ever call himself such
Lincoln, TR, FDR, Truman -- none of them went around strutting like a peacock and announcing themselves as a "war president". They let their actions do all the talking. Bush has no competent action to be proud of, so he just talks.

31. Or Washington
You know, a man who *completed* his time in the Army both before the Revolution and during it and who offered his sword to Congress. He didn't prance like a peacock but got down to the serious business of helping to form a *civilian* government. He didn't go looking for wars to prop himself up.

Bush is a little man. A very *little* man.

Hey, I believe you. I went to the last protest where there were just a few bored "frat boy" types taunting us as we walked by. I told a fellow protester, although there's only, I believe 50-60 thousand today, NEXT TIME our numbers will grow. I didn't make this one but I commend you for going and representing the TRUE MAJORITY.

Too funny - how the media tries to make these people "look sane" much less representative of the Average hard working American. :wtf:

Best to you and all who made it to the D.C. Anti-War Protest! :yourock:

That is why they don't want to see pictures of blown up mangled bodies in Iraq. That is why they don't want to hear of old people and babies dying in New Orleans. And that is why they don't want to be associated with the people who want to reveal where the REAL STENCH in this country is coming from.

I have nine years invested in the Navy. I am a supporter and financial contributer to the Memorial. My picture and Navy Bio are in the archives.

The Officers of the Memorial judging by the Memorial news letters are 'War Supporters'. It is sad.

I do hope they did not have a hand in organizing this event.

40. And once again they resort to name-calling.
Why label those against the war on Iraq as Sheehanistas? We have been protesting this war long before Cindy Sheehan became a familiar face and name.

And that woman yammering about not being pro-war, does she now understand how much those on the left despise it when we are called pro-abortion? Shoe gets mighty tight when it's on the other foot, doesn't it?

It would be nice if the media would report how radical Protest Warrior actually is. In fact, it's nothing more than a right-wing gang of belligerent testosterone-overdosed thugs, judging from many of their posts.

We had 75 - 100 people. The Right Wing Radio Nuts preached against us all week and 10 or 20 of the Protest Warriors showed up. They got their ugly signs and tried to infiltrate us. They tried to push our died into traffic and start fights.

The local police department saw what was happening and made them move over to the other side of the block. They are a bunch of weak minded sheeple.
