U.S. Sen. Frist to speak on HCA stock sale - aide

WASHINGTON, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist plans to make his first public statement at 5 p.m. (2100 GMT) on a federal investigation into the sale of his stock in HCA Inc. <HCA.N>, Frist spokeswoman Amy Call said on Monday.

She declined to provide further details about the statement by the Tennessee Republican.

The Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York are looking into the sales that occurred before HCA warned its operating profits would fall short of Wall Street expectations.

8. Frist lowers his normally high-pitched voice...
... shakes his head quickly so his jowls shake, saying, "I am not a crook."

Hey, almost worked for Nixon. :)
