Chavez blasts US extradition ruling on Cuban exile (MSM PUKE ALERT)

Rather than point out the hypocrisy of this case and ask the obvious question (Why is the US harboring a convicted TERRORIST), they bash Chavez instead.

CARACAS, Venezuela (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez blasted on Wednesday a U.S. ruling that a Cuban exile accused in a 1976 airliner bombing could not be deported to Caracas and demanded Washington hand him over for trial.

A U.S. immigration judge ruled on Tuesday that Luis Posada Carriles, a Venezuelan citizen and former CIA operative who Caracas says planned the bombing that killed 73 people, could face torture in Venezuela and Cuba and could not be deported to either country.

Chavez, an ally of Cuba who often rages against U.S. policies and the war in Iraq, says Posada is a terrorist and warned this year that he could revise ties with the United States if the Cuban exile were not extradited.

"Now the U.S. government has decided in favor of the terrorist Posada… see the cynicism of the imperialists," Chavez said. "They torture in Guantanamo Bay, they are the ones who torture. They kill, assassinate and bomb people."

2. We stand for concentrating as much wealth and power in the hands of
as few people as possible, no matter what anybody or any moral principle says about it.

3. Bush needs him to help him commit new terrorist attacks in America.
America: Where the government LOVES terrorists and wants them to stay in luxury.

I think we'll be seeing quite of few articles like this...

WASHINGTON, Sep 28 (IPS) - The decision Tuesday by a U.S. immigration judge in Texas to deny Venezuela's request to extradite Luis Posada Carriles, whom Caracas has dubbed "the Osama bin Laden of Latin America", was greeted with surprise and disappointment by Latin America activists and even some former U.S. officials.

..."It's bad enough when the world knows that we're rendering suspected Islamic terrorists to countries that routinely use terror," said one State Department official. "But here we have someone who we know is a terrorist, and it's clear that we're actively protecting him from facing justice. We have zero credibility."

"The long and short of it is that we are harbouring a terrorist," agreed Wayne Smith, who headed the U.S. Interest Section in Havana in the late 1970s and early 1980s. "This is really a total farce."

...Peter Kornbluh, a Cuba expert at the NSA who has played a key role in getting secrets documents on Posada's activities declassified, said the government's handling of the case was a "travesty that compromises its fight against terrorism".

"How the Bush administration expects to be taken seriously on the war on terrorism given the way it has handled every stage of Luis Posada's return to the United States that will haunt U.S. security interests for a very long time," he said.

5. That's because the crime family that runs the US can't
afford to let the truth come out. And the truth is the CIA which Posada worked for are the terrorist.

Chavez is right on!

6. Venezuela criticizes court ruling on Posada
<snip> ''I would like for them to present just one piece of evidence that Venezuela tortures people when our constitution clearly establishes the prohibition of torture,'' María del Pilar Hernández, Venezuela's top diplomat for North America, told state television. <snip>

The Venezuelan government insisted the United States is still bound by international law to hand over Posada.

Venezuela's extradition request ''remains in effect more than ever,'' government lawyer José Pertierra told state television. He noted Venezuela and the United States have an extradition treaty that should be respected. <snip>
