'God's banker' trial set to open

Five people will go on trial on Wednesday for the murder of Italian financier Roberto Calvi.

The trial opens more than two decades after the banker with close ties to the Vatican was found hanging from a London bridge, his suit stuffed with rocks and bank notes.


The trial for the murder of the man nicknamed "God's banker" will take place in a top security courtroom in Rome.

It is expected to be adjourned immediately due to procedural matters, defence lawyers said.

Just curious, I know the book insinuated that there were P2 members here in the US but it never mentioned any names. Got anything on that?

3. P2 was an Italian 'lodge'

All the members were Italian, per the list that was recovered. However its connections with other quasi-underground fascist 'governments in waiting' is an area that never really got fully explored.
