Woo-hoo! Safavian has been PWNED!
Former Bush Official Indicted in Probe
By MICHAEL J. SNIFFEN
The Associated Press

Wednesday, October 5, 2005, 5:12 PM

WASHINGTON -- The Bush administration's former chief procurement official was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury on charges of making false statements and obstructing investigations into high-powered Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

The five felony counts in the indictment charge David H. Safavian with obstructing Senate and executive branch investigations into whether he aided Abramoff in efforts to acquire property controlled by the General Services Administration around the nation's capital.

Both probes looked into an August 2002 golf outing that Safavian took to Scotland with Abramoff, former Christian Coalition executive Ralph Reed, Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, and others.

The foul stench of their corruption is repulsive.

2. Wonder if this latest indictment of Safavian will get any news coverage
I never heard any mention on network TV news about his first indictment, maybe this will get some more attention as indictments pile up for him and Delay and Abramoff.

4. Safavian's old boss resigned this week
No connection is made in the article- or any explanation, really. Guess it could be a coincidence...

9. Is it just me, or does John Cornyn seem bone stupid to anyone else?1
People see that white hair and say he looks "distinguished".

Sometime, hold up your hand and block out that hair and see if he looks less distinguished than, say, your local feed-store clerk.

(With apologies to any feed-store clerks. I personally like ours, but he's not very distinguished looking.) :)

14. Bone stupid is a damn halarious, and I've seen many persons
in feed store that looked smarter than Cornyn.

If I never knew who John Cornyn was and had to guess what he did for a living. I would guess that he sold women's underwear.

13. Message to MSM: The new name for Bush administration is Bush sewer
Saves space too. You can put more facts in--no excuses anymore.

I don't think if you rolled up all the presidential scandals in US history into a ball and splattered it onto the Mall it would equal the current one. These guys learned their lessons well. I'll give them credit for that.

20. Cable Company on Alert, Today!
Back to fudging up bills paying 1 1/2 months in advance, when they clearly told me they no longer did this just months back.

ATTN MSN CONTROLLED MEIDA & STATIONS: At the end of this month, Cable is gone - buh-bye. I get my news out here, from those I trust. Now, if you stop lying to "we the people," I "might" consider turning you back on, but I'll no longer pay "you" to lie to me!

Then again, I might NEVER pay again. That ticked-off w/them all!

Bush Sewer Stinch is right!

Some service for $50+ a month, no? As Bette Midler says, 500 channels and there's still nothing on.

crazy when I and my other brother in law who is a college professor started belittling *. He became very upset and we discovered that for him and his family the no WMD, Iraq invasion all that ugly stuff doesn't matter to them. What matters is that ^ got Saddam. As best as we could make out there was and is a great hatred of Saddam and Bush taking him down is all that matters to them.
