Suspicious Package Found at Calif. StationSuspicious Package Found at California Commuter Rail Station, Snarling Traffic on Nearby Freeways
The Associated Press

NORWALK, Calif. Oct 14, 2005 — A suspicious package was found Friday at a commuter rail station, prompting evacuation of the facility and traffic-snarling closures of adjacent freeways in southeast Los Angeles County.

The package was found shortly before 11 a.m. on the platform of the Green Line station, which is located just east of Interstate 605, said sheriff's Deputy Oscar Butao.

Traffic was diverted off the 605 and the eastbound car pool lane of the 105 Freeway, said California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos.

Rove, the most powerful and controversial political strategist in Washington, made no comment as he entered the federal courthouse to begin his testimony, hoping to convince grand jurors that he did nothing illegal. He had no comment when he left at 1:15 p.m. (1715 GMT).

Weird coincidence that this occurred around the same time?

1. Another fake terror threat... Someone send this to Olbermann!
What happened this morning? Rove testified for the 4th time, right? Tom Delay money-laundering news, and the October 15 Iraqi Referendum.

It's vague... what happened? No news on it!

4. This hasn't hit the national wire yet, but it's already been cleared...
No information yet... Wonder how long before they trot this out. This bothers me.
