Sen. Ben Nelson, expected to run for a second term, has increased his war chest to more than $2.6 million.

"Steady as she goes," said Paul Johnson, Nelson's political consultant.

Nelson raised $507,564 and spent $190,785 in the third quarter of this year, according to his latest disclosure report filed Friday with the Federal Election Commission.

5. If ever a Primary challenge were warranted this would be it
This man is the next Zell Miller. He is not a Democrat except in name only. Another corrupt paid for politician. It is because of people like him that Democrats have the reputation of being no different than Republicans. Are there no honest Democrats in Nebraska?

6. He has voted with US more than Hagel, but...
I too would prefer to mark other on my primary ballot. I guess I won't vote as a protest. We are just now maybe getting a Governor on the ballot.
