Feingold defends vote against Patriot Act (Now for extend and amend)

Feingold contends that the act, which is due to expire at the end of this year, goes too far...

Now, Congress is considering proposals to extend the legislation with some amendments. The Senate and House have proposed different versions of the bill.

He supports Senate amendments that "will mean a great deal in the protection of liberties in this country," Feingold told the annual meeting of the American Civil Liberties Union's Cleveland chapter...

1. The Patriot Act is an evil tool of shrub and his cronies.
It needs to be repealed. But with the strangle hold the rethugs have on Congress,it won't happen. I am glad Feingold is trying to amend parts of it.

3. Feingold doesn't need to defend a vote against fascism
What I'd like to see are some congresscritters defend their vote in favor of dictatorship.
