JACKSON TOWNSHIP — ...

BMWs, big model Mercedes and even a Bentley were common sights in the upscale neighborhood that played host to a $1,000-a-plate fundraiser for U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum...

The private fundraiser was held in the home of Ron and Rhea Simms and was not open to the public or media.

Scranton native and state Treasurer Robert P. Casey Jr. is seeking the Democratic Party nomination to challenge Mr. Santorum next year...

Mr. Cordaro said Mr. Cheney told him Mr. Santorum’s Senate race is regarded as the most important in the country.

3. InSantorum Must be DESTROYED, before his privatization plan for NOAA kills

ten's of thousands more. Destroyed of course meaning his political career and agenda. He is no Christian - he is a mercenary of the Devil.

"Do you want a seven-day weather forecast for your ZIP code? Or hour-by-hour predictions of the temperature, wind speed, humidity and chance of rain? Or weather data beamed to your cellphone?

That information is available for free from the National Weather Service.

But under a bill pending in the U.S. Senate, it might all disappear.

The bill, introduced last week by Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., would prohibit federal meteorologists from competing with companies such as AccuWeather and The Weather Channel, which offer their own forecasts through paid services and free ad-supported Web sites"

The private (Pirate) weather services ALL use data from NOAA for free because we the tax payer pay for it. Do you really want to pay twice for weather data? Or have to wait up to 24hrs for delayed hurricane updates or satellite images?

9. Why did AccuWeather ever bother going into business on the notion
of providing something that's already available for free? That's what I never understood. I'd much rather see AccuWeather and The Weather Channel seek another endeavor, they aren't very good at the weather to begin with.

10. They package it for the networks.

The provide additional CAD graphics and commentary to the data. They make weather more sellable, especially during a record hurricane season, weather can sell big time. NOAA and the NWS provide all the infrastructure, satalite images, computer models, watches, warnings etc.
