Capuano dismayed after visiting Iraq
By Sarah Andrews/ CNC Staff

But how will Americans know if and when they've been successful enough to leave?

This is the question that Capuano asked soldiers, military leaders and Iraqi officials during a recent five-day trip to that country with five other congressional leaders. The answers he received were disheartening, he said.

"There's no such thing as someone who knows the answer," he said. "None of the leaders I spoke with were willing to set any parameters or discuss any measurements ."

Not that Capuano said it was their responsibility to do so. He placed that duty with Bush.
