Uproar over Iran call for destruction of Israel
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=a21a06ac46744b72

International condemnation has quickly followed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's call for the destruction of Israel.

White House Spokesman Scott McClellan says President Ahmadinejad's comments underscore the Bush administration's concerns about Iran's nuclear intentions.

Iran says it is developing a nuclear program for peaceful civilian purposes. President Bush says he believes the country is secretly developing a nuclear weapons program.

I begin to believe this President of Iran is as stupid as Bush!!!

5. you are wrong, there is an uproar throughout the world
even here people's eyes are openning

There is a reason that we have low popularity with the rest of the world, and that is Iraq

because he's a religious zealot, just like Bush. Nothing wrong with our leaders being religious, it's the zealot part that I'm not too keen on!

8. Does Ahmadinejad WANT a war with Bush?
By making his own war-mongering comments, he will only provoke other countries against him.

9. He won't get one
U.S. is stretched militarily, and the administration is politically neutered. Europe won't or can't wage a war over there, Russia's an ally, and China's a big customer. So, he says all this stuff without having to really fear about. Who's going to stop him?

15. You don't need a war.
The US could easily fire off a few missiles to destroy their atomic capability. I doubt we'd ever wholesale invade Iran. That would be a huge disaster, and I think even the neocons know that.

23. The EU, Russia, and China
Would never allow that to happen. They have their cozy economic agreements with the Iranian government. Bushco knows this, so they are pretty much powerless to do anything. We will just have to deal with another nuclear power such as we do with Pakistan, India, North Korea, etc. The days of the U.S. telling other coutries what to do are over, and there's nothing we can do about it.

10. No Uproar over Israeli calls for Invading Iran...
"Calls for violence, and for the destruction of any state, are manifestly inconsistent with any claim to be a mature and responsible member of the international community," EU leaders said in a statement issued at a one-day summit outside London.

Israel instructs America to attack Iran and Syria

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon met with US congressmen yesterday to discuss which countries America should invade next.

Apparently still unaware that Iraq disarmed after the 1991 Gulf War under diplomatic pressure from the UN, Sharon stated that "Iran, Libya and Syria should be stripped of weapons of mass destruction after Iraq."

He described the situation in Iraq since the war "successful". In reality, post-war Iraq is in a state of crisis, facing a multitude of disastrous problems that grow worse with each passing each day. The country is in ruins, and the fighting never stops. So far today, ten hostages have been taken, and a series of explosions has killed dozens of children and over a hundred other civillians.

Haaretz Daily (Il), "Sharon says U.S. should also disarm Iran, Libya and Syria", 30 September 2004.

Obviously, Jabba defines success as lots of dead Arabs.

US Assures Israel That Syria And Iran Are Next

Israeli Newspaper Exposes US Plans

According to a report publlished by Israelâs leading newspaper Haaretz, Bolton, who is undersecretary for arms control and international security, is in Israel for meetings about preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction.

In a meeting with Bolton on Monday, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said that Israel is concerned about the security threat posed by Iran. It's important to deal with Iran even while American attention is turned toward Iraq, Sharon said.

Well now, with this information(recent history, BTW), the words and intent of Ahmadinejads seem more like a return-to-sender of the overtures from Jabba.

I love the smell of selective outrage in the morning...

13. US/Iran/China
This GOP has an agenda, a massive global destructive agenda...I truely believe that the GOP wants WWIII. In order to fullfill biblical prophecy they have to take action and put certian things in motion in order to make those prophecies come to light. If they dont then nothing in the biblical prophecies would ever happen.

With that in mind, I heard something rather disturbing today. Instead of disarming US nuclear weapons, there is actually a build up. This is due inpart to a possible confritation with China that the GOP is instigating somehow...Anyone else here this or something along those lines??

If this GOP is not thrown out of office IMMEDIATLEY we are all going to pay a dear price. I dont care if the FEDs are reading this, this GOP is a bunch of FUCK UPS!!

16. BBC: Iran stands firm on Israel remark
Last Updated: Friday, 28 October 2005, 10:37 GMT 11:37 UK

Iran stands firm on Israel remark

Iran has defended its president's call for Israel to be "wiped off the
map", saying this has been its foreign policy since the 1979 Islamic
revolution.

Ahead of an anti-Israel rally in Tehran, Foreign Minister Manoucher
Mottaki said Iran did not recognise the "illegitimate Zionist regime".

19. AFP- Iran seeks to soften Ahmadinejad comment on Israel
By Maria Golovnina
1 hour, 43 minutes ago

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Iran sought on Friday to smooth the effects of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's comment that Israel should be "wiped off the map," saying through its Moscow embassy that he did not mean to "speak up in such sharp terms."

Ahmadinejad's remark, strongly condemned by the United States, Russia and EU countries, has added fresh tension to Iran's relations with the West, already soured by a stand-off over Tehran's nuclear program.

"Mr. Ahmadinejad did not have any intention to speak up in such sharp terms and enter into a conflict," the Iranian embassy in Moscow said in a statement, in a first official reaction to the West's outrage.

"It's absolutely clear that, in his remarks, Mr. Ahmadinejad, president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, underlined the key position of Iran, based on the necessity to hold free elections on the occupied territories."

And while he may or may not be as stupid as Bush, the president does play similar games as Bush. The hard-liners in Iran get allot of mileage out of rhetoric against Israel.
