Arar tortured in Syria, report determines
Ottawa — An independent factfinder says there is no doubt that Maher Arar was tortured in Syria and that the horrible ordeal has had a devastating effect on the Ottawa software engineer and his family.

Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan told reporters after a cabinet meeting that although she hadn't read the report in detail, the revelations contained in it are dreadful.

"The report is important because it establishes facts about the way I was treated while I was detained in Syria. It's also important because it establishes a pattern of people, innocent Canadians who have been tortured while they were travelling, and in my opinion it's-- it's a lot of progress."

1. Dredge up everything to villify Syria
It's way beyond hypocrisy to bellyache about other people engaging in systematic torture, isn't it?

The PNAC wants to pop Syria so badly that it hurts.

3. This Is
Not about other people.

This is what it means to be a Canadian.

This is what Canada allows others to do to its citizens.

It is not about Syria!
