Bruce Willis Offers Million Dollar Bounty for Osama or Zarqawi
A report to be published Saturday says that Demi Moore's ex will pony up a million cash to any civilian who turns in the terrorist scum.

The hairless Hollywood he-man announced his bounty offer on MSNBC's "Rita Cosby: Live and Direct" this week.

Willis also revealed he was in talks to make a movie about the Deuce Four, the soldiers whose heroic exploits have been chronicled by embedded blogger Michael Yon.

Willis is trying to become a public figure but lacks the charisma. So he's trying to buy his way in.

He's a nowhere man.

11. He tried! He tried!
I just read last week or so that he tried to enlist during Gulf I but was too old :(

I remember during the start of this Iraq war there was talk of him wanting to go fight for oil, I remember Bill Maher saying that he was told by the Administration that they would consider it if they couldn't get Vin Diesel.

If he's so hell bent on being in on the action, why doesn't he take a job with Halliburton or something, become a merc? Or why doesn't he just simmer down and wait to get offered one of the many parts for older Sergeant types in any of the hundreds of Iraq War movies they will start churning out over the next decade?

7. reminds me of Bill Maher's comment
a long time ago about how silly it was to double the reward for info about Osama, as if dirt poor people are going to say "hmm, 50 thousand isn't worth it, but 100 thousand is". just illustrates how neo-cons think everything can be solved with money.

12. Buy some body armor for the troops instead, asshole!
What a clueless, sorry ass schmuck. It won't do any good to get rid of Zarqawi because someone else will just take his place. Bin Laden was on a dialysis machine and after being chased around all over the place it is very likely he couldn't stay connected to it after a while and probably is now dead. But did Bruce Willis ever figure that out? Oh no! He's too busy being a big action hero to spend any time thinking. Its so obvious he's never done anything meaningful in his life or otherwise he wouldn't be thinking up stupid shit like this.

28. Here's an IDEA for Brucie Woosie
Since he's a big strong tough guy, why don't he do his country a favor and head on over to the Middle East, dressed up as a terrorist with all the make up (he can afford that for sure) needed to make him presentable as an ARABIC MUSLIM (and no insults to NICE Muslim Arabs), dye his skin, wear a black beard and a turbin, and then HE can TRACK OSAMA DOWN HIMSELF!

C'mon Bruce, I'm sure the US Govt would issue you a "multi-pass" and you could spent countless hours FLEEING FROM AMERICAN TROOPS who would bomb, strafe, machinegun, call in gunships, smartbombs, use IED's on his Pink ASS (turn him upside down and there is NO difference, even the "breath" smells the same) until there as nothing left that couldn't be picked up with a Handi Wipe and a Stick..

It would be "friendly" fire, so that means it's nothing personal when they WASTED HIM for presenting the Wrong Profile - IE, NOT WHITE..

Even Better, wear a BURKA so that you can REALLY go under cover - and don't forget to whip out your harmonica and play some really pathetic "blues" harp to impress the piles of dead people being eaten by dogs and flies who somehow got dead but were civilians so that would mean that WE didn't kill them, they must have left the gas on in their homes in Fallujah while making the "Welcoming" cakes for the troops..

GO GET 'EM Brucie, the best ROLE of your LIFE, er.. death..

Tough talking wussie. You've been in one too many action movies idiot..

If you were a REAL american patriot you'd put a bounty on someone else responsible for the War - but of course you couldn't do that, as you have your monthly Bush ASS LICKING appointments to keep up..

Fuck you Willis.

33. Good for him
Sorry, but both Osama and Zarqawi are bad guys. "Bad" as in death, genocide, executions, torture, and trafficking in human death. Their trails ought to end making a humble plea in front of a judge who is ethical and honorable enough to wear the title. They can also end their lives at the end of some ordnance belonging to one of their many victims. Death or humiliation -- it hardly matters with these guys.

Willis' machismo may not reflect well on his personal dignity, but his heart is in the right place, and I can forgive the muscle flexing with regard to tyrants.

By the way, this doesn't let the Bush junta off the hook, or justify the concussion-informed inanity of the Freepers. Many, vile, and heinous are the sins of BushCo. He is, in most ways, a workaholic in comparison to Osama and Zarqawi, equalling or surpassing their career totals in blood, dollars, and broken victims. Bush will face his own day in front of a judge, Earthly or otherwise.

Maybe some of Willis' kick-ass courage will find its way to call George Bush to account for lying us into a recreational meat-grinder of a rich man's war and turning the world against us in ridicule. Yeah, I'll bust Bruce's nut on that one, and I'll probably have to get in line to do it. But not when it comes to Osama and Zarqawi.

42. Wow, so many negative comments
Saying pay for the vets or pay for the soldiers armor...but since when has there been a DU fundraiser for doing any of that? WE just say we'll donate to our candidates, even if we don't know they'll win...so why spit on someone else trying to do something?

I'm hoping this starts a trend. Bruce is the first, if we treat this with positive rapport instead of negative, more may follow, making the government's bounty seem like chicken feed. THAT is when we'll catch osama, as the government obviously wants him alive and in the dirt.

48. Prediction: Osama and Zarqawi still won't be captured
Such a typical wealthy American mindset....Thinking you can just throw a bunch of money at the problem and the problem will disappear....Ha.

What Bruce Willis (and anyone else who offers a reward for OBL's capture) do not understand is that some people in the world just cannot be motivated by money. Anybody who has any sort of connection to bin Laden or Zarqawi is going to be a part of this group of people.

And capturing OBL will not change a damn thing. The wheels are already in motion. He has successfully launched a worldwide Islamic insurgency that acts completely independent of him. Capturing him will not stop terrorism...In fact, it will probably cause more young men to take up arms and pursue martyrdom.

52. It SHOULD be if the government is already offering one
It shouldn't be legal to offer a bounty on anyone who isn't already "wanted" by the government.

For example, it should not be legal for an American citizen to put a bounty on Hugo Chavez. It should be legal for an American citizen to put a bounty on Whitey Bulger or Osama Bin Laden-- neither of whom the government actually wants to find, but has still offered a bounty on.

I'm not sure what the law actually is, though.

But wouldn't it be a cool thing to see a bunch of wealthy Democrats put together an expedition to capture Bin Laden without the aid of the American military? Then Bush wouldn't be able to get any of the credit, and they wouldn't be able to keep him from telling everything he knows? I'm not saying anyone should do that. Just that it might be interesting to see if it did happen.
