Injured soldiers wait for treatment
Maj. Mike Kissenberth is scheduled to perform surgery in two hours, just enough time to see a dozen clinic patients before he heads upstairs to scrub. “Who’s first?” the Army surgeon asks two soldiers sitting on examining tables in adjoining rooms. The one with an injured rotator cuff speaks up. “Oh, right,” Kissenberth says. “You’re my 9 o’clock.”

IT’S PAST 10 a.m. When he’s done with these appointments, he returns to an inbox piled with new charts and X-rays.
Hard work and long hours are nothing new at Army hospitals, but the patient overload from the thousands of soldiers who have returned from the Iraq war has suddenly thrust doctors here into the middle of a national emergency.

BACKLOG OF PATIENTS
Fort Stewart’s 70-bed hospital is struggling with a backlog of patients, including more than 600 sick and injured reservists. Some have grumbled publicly of waiting weeks, even months, for treatment while living in barracks without air conditioning or indoor toilets.

How long would the butching last if both of Bush's daughters were in Iraq and one lost her arms/legs limbs?

1. I'm reading this story
right after reading that Bush raised another million dollars in Alabama (my native state) bringing his campaign chest to 90+million dollars.

Why doesn't he donate some of that money to the injured?

3. 'Injured' = 'Football Injury' - Those guys with not limbs will be back
Edited on Tue Nov-04-03 02:55 AM by dArKeR
next week for the 'game'!

Can some one post the pic of the soldier with no limbs? It's not to disgrace him. It's to try to prevent it from happening to more of our Democratic children because I know for sure there are no GOP children out there! And I'm sure there are no Limbaugh Shitto Heads out there either!

MSNBC,

If your wife had her arms and legs blown off do you think you would call that an 'injury'?

I think you desecrate the lives of our children soldiers, average age 19, by using such a disgusting, vulgar, Bush Administration/GOP Media Whore ordered sanitized word 'injured' for a child who has lost their limbs fighting to put profits into your corporations! You disgust me you Media Whore!

I honestly wish your children were in Iraq instead of our soldiers! That would be justice!

4. Disgusting!
I hope George W. reads this story. How utterly disgusting that these
soldiers can't even get access to basic health care. Send them home,
NOW!

5. Wait till they find out after they are treated
...and discharged that they can only see a VA doctor once a year, if they are lucky, and they will have to find root and claw with the VA to get paid for their disability.
