Bush unfazed by death toll
http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5478,7770009%255E663,00.html

UNBOWED by the continuing carnage in Iraq, US President George W. Bush described the mission there as vital and vowed "America will not run".

"The enemy in Iraq believes America will run. That's why they're willing to kill innocent civilians, relief workers, coalition troops," he said.

"This collection of killers is trying to shake the will of America. We will not be intimidated."

Mr Bush's comments came during two speeches in Alabama yesterday, one of which was a campaign fundraiser in which he made a cool $2.6 million for his re-election.

1. Well, it's not like he's in any danger
When that happens, it's run rabbit, run, like on September 11. But he knows that there's no threat to him (and never was) from Iraq, so if a few hundred military personnel bite the big one, it's no big deal to him -- stay the course! Unka Dick, Jim Baker and Big Daddy gots to get paid.

4. Words fail me...
this miserable, sniveling, lying, cowardly pitiful excuse for a man is more than willing to send other people's loved ones to shed their blood, and be maimed, for his delusions. The Iraqis, the ones he's claiming we're "liberating", are being killed, maimed, and traumatized too.

He has made our country the bully of the world, and I am ashamed for us of everything he does. He has left no aspect of life unscathed from his relentless trampling of human life and dignity.

What can Americans do to disable the train wreck?
Americans are worried about their jobs, their finances, their health.
When they come home at night, they don't want to see the carnage or
hear about it, and the election is far away. Bush is raising the cash
to buy himself another term and he could care less about the young
soldiers he's shoving into the wood chipper so he can loot Iraq and
steal resources before bailing and leaving Iraqis to bury their dead.
Really nothing Americans can do about it, but cry.

What a %&**#&(*(#% macho chickenhawk coward, we should send HIS ass over their and put it in front of the firing line. We'll see how he likes the results of his "bring 'em on" challenge!

And is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that he hasn't said a damn word of condolence or regret over the Sunday helicopter deaths, or any other military deaths for that matter? WHY can't the sheeple see that? Not to mention the fact that he's never attended ONE SINGLE GODDAMN military funeral since he started this whole mess! If that had been a Dem, you better believe you'd never be able to get that off the news!

39. What's most infuriating about Bush
and his continual references to "terrorists" and "killers' in Iraq is that there wouldn't BE any terrorists or killers if we hadn't invaded their country. None of this would have happened. But Bush and his crew are trying to shift the pardigm for us, to make people think this is all part of thr war on terror. Utter utter bullshit. If I believed in Hell, I would firmly believe that Bush is going there someday for the lies he tells.

25. Have you noticed the British have only lost 1 in Basra?
They are definitely American deaths because our Military has been trained by the ISRAELIS to do occupation/urban warfare. The casual disregard for the value of civilian lives has led to the escalation of their predicament. The British have rules of engagement, they can actually be PROSECUTED for making a mistake and killing someone they shouldn't have but BushCo has insured that AmeriKa is outside of the law as in OUTLAW. In a tribal society, you do not just bring a body bag, dump it off and say "Sorry, there will be an inquiry"-actually, I can't imagine ANY society where that would be ok.

17. The video clip showing him making these statements shown last night
on the CBS Evening News, also included the following statement, "We will not let those who threaten America win".

Now just a goddamn minute. Are the people blowing things up in Iraq actually "threatening America"? Are they rushing our shores this very moment? It's such bullshit. He uses scare tactics, and has all along.

He makes it sound like what we're doing in Iraq, is fighting people who are prepared, and able, to invade the U.S., when in fact, what we're doing is making more terrorists! I am beginning to think that's what they want. Come to think of it, it is! They need "terrorists". Without them, the neonazicons are nothing but a hollow shell of bullshit. They are using Nazi fear tactics, just like Hitler used.

Someone tell me we're not a fascist dictatorship please, because it sure seems that way to me.

41. Reminds me of a fishing story...
On a deep sea fishing trip, the guy next to me was clubbing a wolf fish to death on the deck. He goes "watch out--these things are nasty."

I thought it was ironic. This guy threads a rusty hook thru the cheek of an innocent fish looking for scraps of food, pulls him out into an evrironment it can't breathe in, and starts pounding it in the head with a club. Then he accuses the fish of being nasty for biting to save its life.

Shoulda called it a terrorist.

Just focus on the EPA to see where we are going. Nothing is as important as the uber-rich... and by the way, why isn't anyone coming up with how the EPA's new soi disant water quality rules about allowing more sewage into our rivers ties in so nicely with the plans to make clean water the next hegemonic commodity?

normally this would be what a president is supposed to say, to lessen the psychological victory for the enemy.

But Bush has been exposed many times as a total bluffer, it can't work that way for him. The resistance in Iraq has no reason to think Bush really has the staying power he says he does. They think he could very easily cut and run.

that the resistance fighters are a force to be reckoned with. Bush waltzed into Iraq to the tune of goodnight Iraq. It was such a pushover he could have conquored it in an hour. Call them rag tag--the Iraqi were simply bereft of any defense because they had no weapons. Bush saw to that-he knew--and then he lied-now, he behaves as if he is the Colossus of Rhodes standing up to the rag tags--and he says he, or America,-- you ain't American George, no matter how much money you have to squander on more lies to the people, is not going to run! LOL--if he has brain, it must be in his little toe. Does he think he will be a hero if he does not run from the puny little so called rag tags? They have no army, no navy, no airforce, no tanks--and he says he will not run. Irony. What a guy.

Bush* is totally vunerable. He has misused and misapplied the military. We have a defense, not an offense.

For that Bush* should not be re-elected. He has not shown the capability to use our modern military appropriately. Bush* is a liability to our forces.

Sure they can protect themselves, but he placed our resources in a position of liability. That is unacceptable.

Spread the word.

But I think they pay for this by constantly taking

Yet, when I asked whether they wanted to adopt a

That is why the trickle down theory never worked, those greedy SOB's keep their money to buy boats and vacations rather than help out those in need. We aren't well off by any means but appreciate what we have and try to do our best to give to others who are less fortunate, that should be the american way.

(My brother is a conservative rethug. who has been given alot by my parents/grandparents i.e. hasn't had to work very hard in his life, yet he is the first to complain of charity and if we have a family get together which provides a contribution of any sort-food, beer, money donation for the T-day turkey, it isn't his responsiblity because it isn't at his house.
