Poll: More voters say they'll definitely vote against Bush
Edited on Tue Nov-04-03 11:34 AM by unfrigginreal
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

ALBANY — More than four in 10 voters nationwide say they definitely plan to vote against President Bush next year — more than plan to vote for him, a poll reported Tuesday.
The poll, from Marist College’s Institute for Public Opinion, found that 44 percent of voters surveyed said they planned to definitely vote against the Republican president while 38 percent said they would vote for his re-election.

An April poll from the Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based pollsters had found that 40 percent of voters nationwide planned to vote for Bush while 30 percent said they would vote against him.

The latest poll also found a drop in Bush’s approval rating, which has been documented by other recent nationwide polls. The Marist poll had the president’s approval rating at 53 percent, down from 70 percent in its April poll.

3. No no no...
...we need Bush's record to run against. Let them stick with the man who f*cks up everything he's involved with, after all, he's who "brought them", now they gotta dance.

6. Look for an elevated terra' alert or worse today...
... too many days left in the week to allow voters to mull this over without reminding them who keeps us safe. Geez. Nothing is below this misAdministration.

10. Did you see what they said about the Dem candidates?
"Among Democratic voters, there was no clear choice about who should be the party’s candidate to take on Bush. Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean led the way with 16 percent of Democratic voters backing him followed by Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut at 12 percent and Rep. Richard Gephardt of Missouri at 10 percent. The other Democratic contenders were all in single digits. One in three Democratic voters said they were undecided on who should be the party’s nominee.

In theoretical matchups against the Democrats, Bush led them all. Closest to the president — 48 percent to 43 percent — was Gephardt."

Not being an American, I don't keep up with stateside poll numbers. But it seems odd to me that Dean, Lieberman, and Gephardt would be the frontrunners. Did Clark get caught smoking a joint or something?
