Four US soldiers killed in Baghdad over two days

Four US soldiers have been killed over two days in Baghdad, the US military said Friday.

Two soldiers died Friday when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb.

Two more died Thursday in another bomb attack on a US patrol in the capital.

Only one dead was initially reported in Thursday's incident.

Based on Pentagon figures, at least 2,163 US military personnel have been killed in
Iraq since the invasion in 2003.

1. I haven't see or heard about this in the news.
Apparently it's not even newsworthy anymore.

VP Big Dick Cheney grabs the headlines when he goes over there to tell the troops more lies.

4. Stack em higher and higher

Grass Bush

Pile the bodies high in Austerlitz and Waterloo Iraq
Shovel them under and let me work--
I am the grass; bush; I cover all.

And pile them high in Gettyburg Baghdad
And pile them high in Ypres and Vedum Mossoul and Al Fallaujah

Two years, ten years, and passengers ask the conductor:
What place is this?

I am the grass bush.
Let me work.

Carl Sandburg

Bring all the troops home today and not in pine boxes.

5. I saw it on the cbc site early am
the two soldiers killed by the roadside bomb. It's not on there this afternoon, though.

How terribly sad. More distraught families - and right before Christmas.

Why is any business news the frigging top story? :puke:

17. Bush speak: Now that the Iraqis have had a successful election
the insurgent activity will likely be high in a desperate attempt to de-rail the new government.

18. Actual responses I've been given by Bush fans concerning casualties:
"There were almost 60,000 soldiers killed in Vietnam. Contrast that with just the 2000 killed in Iraq."

"Your chances of being killed in a traffic accident in California are greater than your chances of being killed as a soldier in Iraq."

 :freak: :freak:

19. I actually heard a caller on the radio the other day
say that you could put all the dead from Iraq on a football field. But the dead from Vietnam would fill 30 football fields. Freeper logic.
