Tribesmen kidnap five Italians in Yemen

SAN`A, Yemen --Five Italian tourists were kidnapped Sunday by tribesman in the northern province of Ma`rib, security officials said.

It was the second abduction of foreign tourists in a week.

"We are trying to find out who kidnapped them and what are their demands," a security official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

No identities or other details on the tourists were available.
