Uggghh. Glad I'm nowhere near an airport. Flew last week and flying next week. Just never look forward to it.

5. Nah, it's something else.
That exploit wouldn't affect the servers. You have to actively visit a site or open an infected WMF file to get 'infected' yourself.

10. if they are on windows - they are vulnerable
admins also surf the web and if an admins box was compromised or if any employees box was compromised and they are on the network everyone is vulnerable.

all them laptops plugged into the network cause network admins headaches all the time even for the 'big boys' i.e. NASA, the pentagon, etc.

i am not saying that is the case here but it is possible.

peace

8. UAL, DAL, and NWA are on the critical list (losing billions a quarter).
UAL can't take too much more bad luck. Liquidation looms, IMHO. US Airways (USAir + America West), American, and Continental look like the possible surviving legacy airlines. SWA, JetBlue, and Air Trans are kicking ass now, but maturity brings problems (SWA is seeing them with a possible over-expansion into US Airways' delay-plagued Philly territory).
Sometimes I wish I were back flying the line in my B-737 or MD-80. Then I wake up and pinch myself. "Self," I say, "Why would you want to go back to flying Cat-3 approaches into Buffalo, NY, on winter nights, with the runway visibility 600 feet in blowing chicken feathers?" The house is warm and safe, and the dog is used to me being home. My flying days are over, after 44 years.

14. Sixty to ninety minute delays? Psh.
I work UAL ramp at SFO. Thank God I'm off today, but for the past week or so, the weather has been causing delays of three or four HOURS--and worse--every day. Of course, when one region gets hit, the delays ripple throughout the entire system...yesterday, the weather was clearing up at SFO but the delays got WORSE because of the ripple effect as the storms moved inland...

rsmith6621: Hey, I used to be rez too! Absolutely agree with the "karma" statement, even though rez drove me THIS close to totally raving bats**t.
