A four-storey building housing Muslim pilgrims collapsed in the holy city of Mecca on Thursday and the United Arab Emirates said four of its citizens had been killed.

if the dead were engaged in the Hajj, they will automatically become martyrs and go to Paradise. (Not my belief, but very much an aspect of Islam.)

I do want to point out that the bin laden family was granted the big construction contracts in "rebuilding" Mecca many years ago... don't know if this is one of their buildings but who knows...
